Circular Breathing: A Healthy Game Changer

Breathing is something we often taken for granted. Our bodies do it without thinking about it. Yet having a more conscious approach can increase your physical and mental health.

There are many easy to learn methods that anyone can practice. At any point in your day, become more conscious of your breath for a minute or two and try the Circular Breathing Method.

Step 1: Draw in breath for 5 seconds

Step 2: Hold for 5 seconds

Step 3: release for 5 seconds

You may be amazed at how relaxed you feel after just this short exercise. Incorporate it into your life. Start once per day and if it feels good, add more of it to your routine.

Taking this step will bring awareness to your breathing, which may enhance your focus. You may begin to notice when you aren’t breathing enough. When you feel flustered or overwhelmed, take a minute for yourself.

The benefits of conscious breathing are well documented. It can improve your well-being in a variety of ways.

  • Quick Relief From Stress
  • Lower Blood Pressure
  • Reduce Symptoms of Depression
  • Better Mental Focus
  • Help With Pain Management
  • Improve Immune System
  • Promotes Healthy Respiratory System

If you find yourself saying you don’t have time for this, it is a good indicator that you could benefit from it. Your health is more important than any task you are trying to accomplish. You may surprise yourself by becoming even more efficient now that you have recentered and cleared your head.

If you enjoy the benefits, consider taking your practice further. Breathwork and meditation can be a wonderful tool for a healthy lifestyle change.

Good luck to everyone and happy breathing. Please share your experience if this has helped you.
